At Rey-ah we are dedicated to providing services built on compassion and professionalism for all of our clients. We demonstrate this by focusing on intentionality, integrity, care, and client-caretaker companionship. What does that look like? Our team members are certified in home care support specialists who are trained to aid clients with everyday tasks (such as transportation needs and personal grooming) and work in a way that maintains the dignity of the client. We travel to and work with clients at their own homes or specified locations, moving at their own pace. Given COVID-19, our employees are masked and the majority of them are vaccinated and boosted. Clients may request only receiving services from caretakers who are vaccinated.
According to a 2021 report by AARP, about 75% of seniors want to stay at home as long as they can. Investing in home care helps that happen. By aging in place, clients may experience benefits such as:
Potential health improvements: For some, in home care and aging in place may lead to a faster recovery time, slow the advancement of memory loss, decrease the number of illnesses they get, or lead to fewer accidents.
Rates for our services depend on the client’s specific care needs and vary by location. We accept private pay as well as Medicare, Medicaid, and most insurance companies.

Across the country, more and more people are looking for in-home care for seniors, and that’s been the case in Maine as well. In addition to being able to stay comfortable and maintain independence at home for as long as possible, the popularity of in-home care in Maine rose during the COVID-19 pandemic, as one-on-one care proved to be much safer than those staying in long-term care facilities. Rey-ah Home Care staff can provide help with activities of daily living like dressing, bathing, and meal preparation along with verbal medication reminders, companionship, and more.
One of the services offered by Rey-ah Home Care is respite care, which provides relief for primary caregivers. If you are providing in-home care in Maine and might need a little help every now and then due to work, travel, or you just need some time to yourself, we can provide any of the home care services that we offer on a short-term basis. Allowing your loved one to receive some professional, compassionate care when you need it can benefit everyone involved.
What Is Home Care?
Home care is non-medical caregiving provided by licensed professionals in a person’s home. Services include activities of daily living (ADL) such as help with: eating, personal hygiene, dressing, toileting and (IADLs) which include: cooking, cleaning, laundry and transportation. Respite (short-term) care is also an option under Rey-ah Home Care.
You may determine while they can continue to live in their home, seniors’ needs and abilities change, and sometimes, skilled assistance is needed. We can customize a plan based on your needs to include personalized service and give you peace of mind.
Typically, adults 65 and over are eligible, but some individuals can otherwise qualify for benefits or meet the Medicare home health requirements.
The services at an ALF are along the same lines that Rey-ah Home Care provides, but we come to you, allowing the senior to remain in their home if that’s where they are most comfortable. While moving to an ALF is good for some people, others prefer to remain in the home environment. We offer the best specially trained professional caregivers in Maine and our entire staff—from top to bottom—participates in every aspect of clients’ care.
